Book Week

Hey guys (and gals)
Last week was book week and we did a lot of stuff. Like ....................................................................... Book character day (where we dressed up as book characters), Kate De Goldi and stuffffff

Book character day
This year I went as Kumar Sangakkara. It was really fun and to see so many people put so much effort into  their costumes and then there was me. I actually can't believe that sooo many people put a lot of effort. My favourite costume was Kashyapa's. So much effort put into that costume. If you know what I mean.eh eh.

Kate De Goldi
On one of the days of the week  Kate De Goldi came to our School. She talked about her backstory and how she writes her books. And stuff like that. My favourite book that she's written is the ACB with honora lee. She's written many many books and that's also the only one I've  ever read.

Golden Ticket
We did this golden ticket hunt. I found one of the golden tickets and got a freddo. technically Jamie found it but hey A prize is a prize.

Anyway that's all for now see you all next week.

I'm going to start this thing called the meme of the week
Here's the first one.

AFL Skillz

Hey guys (and gals),
Since everyone has been people saying my blog post is too short. I'll make it longer. So as you know we did AFL on Thursday, (last Thursday). If you don't know how to play all you do is run and kick the AFL ball into the post. On Thursday we pretty  much just practised drop punts and stuff like that.

I learnt how to kick the ball AFL STYLE . The saying we learnt for that was laces away from faces. Point your toes where you want the ball to go. I can't really remember the other one that we were taught.

Honestly I think that AFL is a fun sport. Unless you're playing against a guy like this.

Anyway that's it for now guys (and gals) see you all next time

Expendables

Hey guys (and gals) today i'm going to talk about the expendables. My favourite movie series. If you haven't been in the real world then the expendables are action movies about Arnold Schwarzenegger. I don't want to give too much away so you should go watch it yourself. Unless your uncomfortable with a few swear words watch it.
So that's it for now guys (and gals) see you all next week.

FUTURE

Hey guys (and gals) today i'm going to tell you all about my future job and stuff like that. I want to study stem cells when i'm in college and then pursue that as a career. If you don't know what stem cells are, you have the internet. Use it. For that i'm probably going to have to do a bunch of science and go to medical school. I'm planning on getting a PhD in the study of stem cells and a degree or masters in engineering. Then after that i'll go wherever the wind (and qualifications) take me.

Anyway that's it for now guys (and gals) see you next time

HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys (and gals) i'm back with another blog post. So as you can see in the title, this post is going to be about my holidays. I don't want to make it to long and boring but in the holidays i went to see Scorch Trials and it was a great movie. I would definitely recommend it for you all. Another thing that i did was i went to an intense cricket training at the Westpac stadium. Liam and Marco was also there. So basically it was a five day boot camp thing. It's always run in the holidays and it helps your cricket skills and teaches you a lot.
So that's it for now guys (and gals)  but see you next week.

Art 'n stuff like that

Hey guys (and gals), today i'm going to tell you all about my art week(s) experience.I think it took about 3-4 weeks to do the entire room up. I was involved in quite a few things around the room. Together James and I did about 4-5 silhouettes and believe me it was not a piece of cake if anything it was a piece of watermelon (Marlonwebb quote). I also came up with the idea of the angry birds in the classroom and in case you're wondering, i did the mighty eagle. my favourite piece of artwork was this one ...........................................

Due to the computer stuffing up, I can't get any pics for you guys (and gals). So I'll explain them. Sort of. My favourite one that was my own artwork was the 4-5 silhouettes that James and I did. Then my favourite one out of the entire school was the x-wing that rm12 did.

Anyway that's all for now guys (and gals) soz about it being a short post but hey

Poem

Hey guys (and gals), today i'm going to show you all my favourite poem. Ass you all should know by now, this term has been about poems for writing, and if you did't already know well, then you need to go to a class that teaches you comprehension. Or you are too busy having a life. doesn't really matter. Anyway this is my favourite poem. Before anyone says ' Haveesha that was such a bad poem.' well, i'm not a poemist or a poemogropher.
I mean a gut that writes poems.
Here goes nothing...........

Relief

Relief is a nightmare you wake up from
When you realise that there is always someone to catch
It's when you realise that there are more rounds to get to the top of the leader board
When you realise that there are still 25 minutes to prove yourself
Relief is a poem you just finished

Anyway guys (and gals), that is all for today and soz that this post was a little short but thats all. And tell me what you all thought about my poem

Christ of the coal mines

Hey guys (and gals), today i'll tell you a little about personally my favorite (well, we know who's american) artist. his name is none other than.................................................................. Vincent Van Gogh. Before you start saying stuff like, but he went crazy and cut his ear off, don't care (the haters can hate all they want) just read.

FACTS ABOUT VINCENT VAN GOGH

  • Vincent had a brother who died at birth whose name was also Vincent van gogh
  • He suffered from quite a few mental illnesses
  • He shot himself but did not die until a couple days later
  • In the 10 years that he made paintings, he made over 900
  • He only sold 1 painting which was called vineyard it was sold for 400 francs which is about $1000-$1500 today
  • He did not cut off his ear he simply just cut a bit off
  • His nickname was Christ of the coal mines

So here are a couple if my favorite(american much) paintings by Van Gogh

One of my favorites (america is taking over the world)  mainly because it looks so  real and all of his paintings are done the same way.

Most favourite (yep not american) painting . Same for this one so lifelike

So guys (and gals) that's it for now Tell me in the comments who your favourite artist is.

Regional Sports Festival

OK Hey guys (and gals), tomorrow is the regional sports festival and i'm doing Table Tennis. Now I know what all of you are thinking. Why would such a smart, dashing,  young boy like me play table tennis, well it's because it was my second choice and my first choice was Football  but i didn't make the squad.

BRUH

Anyway It's just me, James and William.

We're just some small town boys
Livin' in a lonely world
We take the midnight train going anywhere

OK?????? Back to task. we've sort of been practicing but very recently our beloved balls died And I mean table tennis balls not  those balls sometimes you guys can be a little sick. So we had to play with a tennis ball.

So guys ( and gals) that's all for now but i'll be back tomorrow with some news on how it went

Peace

OK guys (and gals) told you i'd be back, so it's Wednesday and today was the Regional sports festival and we did great (SARCASM). We came 8th.  I only won 3 sets and 1 game. 'cause I only found my rhythm for the last couple games. The place was smaller than I thought but it managed to fit everyone. Next time I probably won't do table tennis for my 2nd option, I'll probably pick dodge ball

Anyway see you  guys ( and gals) next time.

Peace

The Flag (dun dun dunnn)

Hey guys (and gals) today is going to be about the flag. So any of you don't know the government want's to change the flag and personally i think it's sort of dumb to change the flag, I mean would spend ,i think it was, 45 million to change the flag. 'cause I wouldn't. Did you know that 45 million `could end a lot of problems and if you're thinking right now 'Yeah but our flag looks too much like the Aussies' then mate why don't you tell them to change their flag. Plus we did a lot of significant things under our flag, such as........fighting in WW1 and a bunch of other stuff that are real but I don't know about.

   A        B         C        D           E        F       G

1

2

3

4

5

6

If we were to change the flag then my top four would  be A3 because it has he silver fern,   Black and blue (Why blue ?????) and the  southern cross  then B1 because it is pretty  much  the same as A3  except it red and black which are the  Maori  colors. Next is D6 'cause it  has a koru and the southern cross. Finally it   is  D3 'cause it has a sort of koru and the   southern cross. The green and black makes it  looks cool. Finally my choice is D3.

Anyway guys (and gals) that's it for today see (technically I can't see any of you right now) you all next week and in the comments, tell me which flag would be your choice.

Peace

Actually this is my favorite flag   LOLOLOLOLOL

Dinner

If i could invite any 2 people, the first person i would invite would be Albert Einstein because well he's Albert Einstein. And because he could tutor me in maths and science. I would ask him 'how did you solve all the formulas you solved?'. The next thing i would ask him would be 'were you smart as a kid?'. Finally I would ask him 'what are your hobbies?' that is, if he had any. If he didn't then well I just wasted a question. After that I would be John. D. Rockefeller because he started Americas most successful oil business and any other business for that matter. The first question I would ask him would be 'how did you come up with the idea of an oil company?'. The next thing I would ask him would be 'What has been you most successful thing in your life?'. Finally I would ask him would be 'what are your hobbies?' that is, if he had any. If he didn't then well I just wasted another question

So that's it for now Guys (and gals) hope you liked it and see you all next week.
Peace

(Albert Einstein)
Hey guys (and gals) this week I have to write about 2 people that I would invite to dinner. So here goes nothing...............

Sleepover with my Cousin

Hey guys (and gals) Today I'm going to tell you about the sleepover I had with my cousin. Since he lives in Sri Lanka we had a holiday there. So here goes nothing.................

It was like 10:30 pm and it was me and my cousin (Akila). We were playing on our devices. then we went downstairs to see my other cousin (Amiru) and he was playing on the computer. We started talking together and playing, then finally around 11:30, we went to go to sleep. But we didn't we started talking. After that we finally went to  sleep. The next day after doing all of the necessities we watched jack the giant slayer and then went to the movies with Akila's and Amiru's friends to watch the amazing spider man. The movie was amazing and in the middle of the movie, they had an interval which you could get food and drinks/snacks. During that break, one of Akila's friends asked everyone who their favorite character was and i said the villain because he could control energy and everyone has energy in them so technically he can control anyone. Everyone else also picked the villain. After the movie we all went home and continued our lives.

So there you go guys, that was the memory I shared with my cousin. Anyway guys (and gals)  see you all next week.

Makara Beach

Hey Guys (and gals) my sister, dad and I went to Makara beach and today i'll tell you all about it. BUT in a paragraph. So here goes nothing..............

The salty scent of the sea was spraying into my face and the sounds of the waves thundering against the rocky shore made me feel nice but cold. I started walking along the beach with my dad and sister collecting acorns and wood. My sister and I found lots of cool shells and just even cooler stuff along the seashore. Then when we got to the 1k mark, we saw a family fishing and cooking their findings. Then in another 100m we found a hill and climbed it. The view from it was magnificent. you could see the beautiful ocean and a great deal of wellington. Finally we walked back and on the way back to our Jeep, we found a set of bones that looked like a human hand. We got into the jeep after our findings and drove along the countryside, home.

So hope you guys (and gals) enjoyed it and see (technically I can't see any of you but hey) all of you guys (and gals) later.

Narnville

Hey Guys (and gals) today i'm going to tell you all, Haveesha that is such an olden day word yeah well I couldn't come up with any other word, about my time at Narnville. For the 1st 8 weeks or so we did gymnastics which, believe me , was not fun. Then we did sport and stuff for the rest of the well.... other weeks.

O.k now for the questions as requested by my trustee teacher, Mr Cunningham. First things first is yes the Narnville sessions have been good, well the last few ones have. I especially the football, or soccer, lessons were the best well apart from the part when I dislocated my ligament but that's a different story that i would like to keep in the back of my head. I learn't a couple routines in gymnastics and a few games. I don't think that I have been pushing myself that far mainly because I have other things in my mind. I think we should do more football, or soccer, skills and junk.

That's all for now so see, technically I can't see you, you guys (and gals) next time.

German

hey guys (and gals) this year or term,i don't actually know which one, we started learning German. i hardly knew any German before but now i know quite a bit. so if i wanted to go to Germany I could say things instead of standing and smiling.

I have learnt to count up to 100 and how to say all the basics as well as how old are you and stuff like that. we did a German test today and I think I did pretty well. I don't think that I'll continue with German. I'll probably do Chinese 'cause it's the language of the future. Sorry guys (and gals) that this post has been so short, but hey. yeah i got nothing but anyway see you guys (and gals) later.

Perseverance

OK, so. Guys (and gals) I've showed perseverance twice this week.

The first was on Saturday it was my soccer game and we were facing Karori and we lost 6-3. It was definitely not a fair game. Karori were pushing and shoving, with their hands. So i was thinking in my head 'this ain't no rugby' and when i just shove one of the Karori people a little he falls over and cries and I get fouled meaning they got a free kick. What a Ronaldo>:-(!!!!!! The only good part of the game was that I scored 1 goal. I was about to score another goal when the Karori defender pushed me out of the way. The way I showed perseverance was that I didn't go all aggro on him. I would've though.

The second day i showed perseverance this week was actually today (monday).  i was playing soccer with My friends when i went to kick the ball and missed and twisting my leg. It was hurting like hell and everyone rushed over to me and later i realized that i dislocated my ligament. It had popped right out of place. So DJ, Iraklis,James and Lawrence all helped me get up to the first aid room. With DJ carrying me half the way up. Everyone else also showed perseverance as well. But anyway, We got to the top and Emma took over from there. I had my ligament dislocated now for about 45 minutes when Emma called My mum to take me home or to the emergency. Then about 25 minutes Emma helped me pop my Ligament back into place.

So that's how I showed perseverance by not complaining about it or wanting to go home or crying. And if I do get an award for perseverance I think  DJ, Iraklis,James, Lawrence and Emma should get one too. Anyway see you guys (and gals) next time.

Maximum Ride By James Patterson

Hey guys (and gals ) Maximum ride is a series of books by James Patterson but the one book that is in the series, which is called Maximum Ride, is the book that i'm going to tell you  about guys (and gals ) about.

Maximum ride is about a group of seven normal kids; but they're not normal kids, they're kids that have mutational power. Their leader is called Maximum ride and all of them have wings. The smallest one is called Angel and she can read minds. Then there is Iggy who is blind but can see things on a white background. They were normal kids but then when they were newborn, they were taken away by scientists , white coats, and then the white coats inserted mutation cells into their chromosomes. But there was one nice white coat who took them away and hid them and trained them.

Anyway I don't want to give too much away but i'd recommend this book for mature audiences. I loved this whole book and I think you guys (and gals ) will love it too.

Galapagos/Evolution

Hey guys (and gals),
I've  learnt a lot about the Galapagos  and today I'm going to share it with you.

First of all I sort of can't tell you everything about what I learnt or we would be here all day. But here goes nothing......

  • The Galapagos has 17 official Islands and the biggest one is called Isabella Island.
  • There are only 25000 people living on 17 islands!!!! but they all live on Isabella island.
  • In the 1700's pirates raided the Galapagos and then Whalers.
  • The Galapagos has many, many species of amazing and piquant creatures.
  • The Galapagos is an volcanic archipelago.
So that's all for now so see everyone next week, well next time.

PRIORITIES

Hey guys (and gals) today I'm going to tell you about my responsibilities. In the school as of right now; I only have 1 priority. First aid.

In first aid I haven't actually come to many sessions. Only one. It's not that i don't like doing it, it's just that I haven't remembered. I wasn't suppose to sign up to first aid. It was a cold snowy monday morning; just kidding, it was a normal day at school and I was doing my letter to Penny for Librarian . Then I finished and my teacher told our class that we had to do at least 2 letters. So I quickly whipped up an average letter. But in my opinion it wasn't that good of a letter. And I guess I got in for something that I didn't want to do too much. Anyway on the day that I did first aid, nobody turned up so I haven't been able to work with anyone. I didn't learn't anything, or found anything challenging. I think that at least I could be on first aid with James (my best friend) because at least we could talk about something.

So this is the end of my 'article' so see [well technically I can't see any of you guys (and gals)] you guys (and gals) next time!

ASB financial literacy

Hey guys (and gals),
today a guy from ASB called Vane came to rm 8 and taught us about money, how to make more and what certain bank words mean.

I found the lesson very worthwhile because i learn't a few things that i didn't know. The key points were when he told us 3 ways to make money; the first way was chores. I do chores but i don't get paid for it, i just do it for the thought. anyway the next way was doing  neighborhood jobs. that's something that i don't do. mainly because we have just moved but i guess i don't do those kind of things. the 3rd and last thing that Vane told us about was trade and sell. Pretty much garage sales and those kinds of things. my financial goals are................ well i don't exactly have any financial goals. yes i think i manage my money very well, because i invest my money in good well earning businesses. i don't think i need to do anything else for the future because my dad has taught me very well.

anyway that's all for now Guys (and gals) see ya next time

MISSION FAIR

Hey guys (and gals) on Friday the 1st of April was the school mission fair and it was DA BOMB.  I did a cricket stall called cricket arena with DJ (Dhyanesh), James and Lawrence. We raised a lot of money well over $50 actually. It was my first ever mission fair 'cause i wasn't here last year, i was in Sri Lanka chilling with my cousins.

At first only a couple of people came but then business blasted. Huge numbers of people came.At one point we couldn't control all the kids that wanted to do our amazing stall, but we worked together really well and finally controlled it. I'd say the thing that went the best was the part that we got to join in for some of the things. We had three things that you could do. First was hitting past boundaries ( which was just hitting the ball past certain points), next was throwing at wickets (which was as you can guess was throwing the ball at wickets)' finally was get the amazing batsman out (which was getting a really good batsman out). I think next year what we could do is come up with better names.

Well that's how my mission fair went and by the way if anyone want's to know how much we raised, we raised over $2300. Anyway that's all for now but see you guys later!!

ANZAC Day Commemorations!!!

Hi guys (and gals) today i'm going to talk to you about my Anzac day commemorations!!!
Sadly I didn't actually go anywhere on ANZAC Day. But we've been learning about WW1 at school. I've researched about this guy called Sergeant Richard Charles Travis and he's won about 4 medals including the Victoria cross!  he was an amazing soldier but sadly he was killed in action by shellfire. I think that it's a good idea to attend ANZAC commemorations because it's good to honour the soldiers who fought for our country. But anyway that's all I got for now but see ya next week.

EOTC WEEK!!!!!

Hey guys (and gals) i was in EOTC week last week and I have to say it was amazing!!!
we did one (or more ) activity per day. On Monday we walked up mt kaukau which was so tiring but James jogged up the whole way and when we got to the top he said to me " that wasn't too hard,". On Tuesday we went to El Rancho camp where we did archery, tubing and rock climbing. Wednesday we were supposed to do sailing but it was too windy so we went to Te papa and rock climbing instead. Then on Thursday we went to the capitol E festival where we saw 3 shows and they were all great. Finally on Friday we went down to Narnville where we played games.

Everything went well but the only thing was that I expected El Rancho to be a little more fun, I also thought Kaukau would be less tiring. I definitely found rock climbing the most challenging because for most of the rock climbs i had too short arms or my body would be aching and it didn't help that i had a slight phobia of heights. I found the capitol E festival the easiest mainly because all we had to do was sit back, relax and enjoy the shows. My proudest moment was when I got through tubing because you had to walk across a stony path that was at least 1k long in bear feet an also sometimes in tubing you had to steer your way when you got into trees. I was so re leaved when I completed tubing. I had the nice breeze flowing through my hair ,but the nice breeze also made me cold, and the tube wrapped around my shoulder my face had a big smile painted on it.

Anyway that's all the time i have for today, see you all next week!!!!!

My Cricket world cup 🌏

Hello everyone today I'm going to tell you guys ( and gals ) about my cricket world cup poster and slide show. My partner was Veronica and i thought we did pretty well. But i have to say, our slide show was da bomb. When we were doing our presentation, we probably could have practiced it a bit more. Our poster was definitely not far behind. I think next group assignment i could practice more and be more involved in the poster because it was mainly Veronica. Anyway that's me for the week but i'll be back next week with a different topic to talk to you guys ( and gals ) about.
